Strawberry Jam

After I finished washing the supper dishes  I decided to make a few jars of strawberry jam. Making such a small amount made the process go fairly quickly. It wasn’t long before I had 5 jars completed and a small amount in the fridge for us  to use on our toast in the morning.

Strawberries in the pot cooking down. I’m not sure why the color is off in the photo but they really were/are bright red. The house smelled so good while they were cooking. Strawberry aroma filled the air.

Filling the jars then into the water bath.

5 cans cooling …. the lids have “pinged” so the seal should be fine but  they will sit where they are until morning. I’ll check them then to make sure the seal is good and tight. If so I can place them on the pantry shelf for later use.

Well, the kitchen is all clean once again so it’s time to relax.   Have a blessed evening everyone.

 to you all.
