I almost forgot this…

I didn’t remember until just now that I have a few pictures of a baby quilt that I finished quilting.  It’s nothing special…too simple actually but I’ll share anyway.

I quilted it using different designs.  Normally I keep everything very uniform but I’m trying to be less structured so I gave it a try on this one. I doubt if I’ll  do it again.  Even though, sometimes I get made fun of, I like a more “structured” and “planned” look for sure. LOL, I’m a bit boring.

sad faceOh no,     I just noticed I didn’t iron this before I took the pictures.

I can’t believe I did that.  I will iron it and go over it carefully and check for any threads that need snipping before it’s sold though.

I took a couple of pictures from the side trying to show some of the quilting.  It did pick up some of the designs.

Well, there you have it………….too simple, unstructured and un-ironed.   Definitely not me. [giggle-I don’t go in the doors marked out or out the doors marked in. I am a very “follow the rules” sort of person. giggle]

You might wonder why I iron the quilts.  I don’t iron all of them.  The ones that I used precuts to make I wash  after I’m done quilting them and before I sell them.  I want to make sure that there is no chemicals in the fabric before anyone buys them. The ironing them gives them a fresh, crisp appearance even though they’ve been washed once.  I don’t have to do that when I used yardage and cut my own because I wash the fabric before I cut the pieces out.  That’s my preference but occasionally I do use precuts. It depends on what I have.

For now, it’s back to work for me.

Before I leave though ………………
