National Sewing Month began in 1982 with a proclamation from President Ronald Reagan declaring
September as National Sewing Month
“In recognition of the importance of home sewing to our Nation.”

What a perfect time to pull out that sewing machine that’s been pushed back into a dark corner of a closet, dust it off and make something wonderful.
And ……… it’s the perfect time to start your holiday sewing.
