April 5, 2014 – evening

Today was one of the quilting classes I teach.  Only 2 students were able to attend but it was very enjoyable.  I’m planning on trying to have a make up class in 2 weeks so those that couldn’t be there today will be able to work on this months block.

After class, I came home and  worked on a few things in my sewing room.  One of those things was the block for next month. I completed a sample (see below) but I’m not sure about the colors yet. I have to go through my fabric and see what I have available.

I also put together a purple wallet.  It took a lot longer than it should have because  I wasn’t paying attention and I sewed it together so that the bow ended up on the  left side and the point was on the right side.  It would have been okay to leave it that way.  There’s nothing set in stone about the wrong or right side BUT it’s not the way I wanted it to be.  So I tore it apart and reassemble it and now I’m happy with it.  I still need to apply the snaps but other than that it’s finished.  I’ll work on the phone case and purse another day because it’s time for me to settle in with my bible and prayer.
