Classroom STARS
I really enjoy taking picture of the activity and projects that my students are working on. I feel so proud of their accomplishments. Their joy and excitement is my joy and excitement.
I am not a photographer by any means so many times the pictures I take are just fair and sometimes they are out of focus BUT that doesn’t stop me from taking and posting them.
If you notice, in the class pictures, I always blot out the faces somehow. I do this for privacy reasons. I decided to use stars because they are all STARS in my eyes. Creative and sweet stars.
Miss Barbara’s work:
This quilt was started before I took over the class. It’s a beautiful traditional block with reproduction fabric. The workmanship is terrific and I can’t wait to see it completed. I’ll get a picture then.
She is also seen in the picture below peeking over the flimsy (pieced quilt top) that she created using the heart dresden block I shared with the class.
Miss Rachael’s work:
This is a darling purse just completed today. Her choice of fabrics are really nice. She’s done a wonderful job in the assembly. All that’s left is adding the closure and a flower embellishment. I’ll have to get another picture once those 2 things are complete.
at and getting a picture of one of her first blocks.
Here’s a close up picture of the above block. So pretty.
Miss Ethel’s work:
This is a picture of the front and back of a pretty envelope pillow case created to learn a new block. The inside pillow was made also. 🙂 Great job!
The two quilts pictured on the right and left at the front of this photo are projects started before I took over the class. The lady on the left, Miss Marilyn, is hand sewing the binding on her quilt. The lady on the right, Miss Faye, is hand tying the quilt sandwich using yarn and large needle.
Misc. classroom pictures where beautiful items are being created:
There’s two more students, Miss El and Miss Sue, that are also working hard on their projects but for some reason I can’t locate the pictures I’ve taken. I will get some more as soon as possible. Their work is wonderful also.
If you’re 55 or over and want to come check out the class you’re more than welcome to join us. We meet Monday mornings, 9-11:30 and Thursday’s 9-11:30 at the Neighborhood Recreation Center in North Las Vegas, NV. If you’re not 55 yet or can’t make it in the mornings then please let me know because there are plans for 2 new classes to begin soon.
