Good morning everyone. I hope you had a great nights rest!

Yesterday I posted this picture of the block the Eastern/Harmon class will be working on this Saturday. It is a paper pieced block. It’s the first one they have tried but I know they will do a great job on this one just like they’ve all done on the five blocks they’ve completed so far.

(this is not a “normal” sampler quilt….

students in the class decided they wanted to sample different techniques in this first quilt so the blocks are a mixture of varying techniques. Though it’s a different type of sampler than one would usually see I have a feeling it’s going to turn out beeeee uuuuu teeeee ful. Good idea class)

It’s not a great picture, a little wonky looking actually (lol) but it shows that we only have 3 more blocks to complete after this month then we will be adding sashing, batting, backing and binding. I am planning for the last class for this sampler quilt to be the class in Nov. If that works out then instead of starting a new quilt project in December we will do a one time Christmas project. I have something special and fun in mind.
