Todays Goal-New Notebook for Teaching

I used to have notebooks with many patterns and extra information for each pattern that I used when I taught private lessons. That was a long time ago and through the years the notebooks have been misplaced or damaged beyond use. Though I don’t need the “how to” instructions for most of the patterns I do often need the measurements for exact cutting plus I like to have a reminder of any tips and tricks that I can pass along to help my students as they learn their new skill.

With the new notebooks on my mind as soon as time permitted today I pulled out a couple of small black spiral notebooks that have been begging to be used. I just knew these 2 were made for what I had in mind. They are the perfect size. Large enough to easily write in yet small enough that I can stick them in my purse or in one of the many bags I use to carry my treasures. Of course the first thing I had (or should I say “got”) to do was make them really mine by doodling on them. A little art for personalization and fun – then I transfered a few patterns and some extra information inside each one. Hand writing it all down takes time but I enjoy it so. I will add more patterns and tips along the way but the ones I wrote today were needed first and they will help me a lot.

I feel like I accomplished something today plus I got to be a bit creative with the doodle art I added. Creative, fun, relaxing and a project I’ve wanted to do for a while completed.
