Another Tuesday 8-19-14

Today has been a pretty “normal” day. I taught a card design class this morning and had lots of fun. There are so many creative people in the class. It’s really interesting to see how everyone takes the same items yet all the cards turn out completely different.

Normally I’d have a quilting class today at 2pm but I it has been canceled due to so many people not being able to attend.  I hate canceling but I don’t want to pay for the rental of the room and sit there all alone.   Instead I will be in my sewing room working on samples and misc. projects for upcoming classes.

This next Monday my sewing class will start on a purse. I want to have one completed for the class to see.  Also, someone asked me to make a quilted fabric box in a smaller size than I do normally.  If it will work for what they have in mind I will have an order for many more.  That would be great!

Since I  have a long list of “want to’s”  to complete today  I’d better get bizzy.

Opps….almost forgot 2 things:

1.  Tomorrow at 9am is the hand embroidery class at the Neighborhood Rec. Center in North Las Vegas.  Come and join in if you are able.  We’d love to have you.

2.  I’m waiting on responses from a couple of authors of the quilting block books I’m considering working with on a monthly (or more often) basis.  I don’t want to start and then have someone say I can’t use that book in the way I want to because of copyright   laws.  As soon as I get it narrowed down I will fill everyone in on the details.  🙂
