April 26, 2014 morning

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a peaceful night. Today, Lord willing, I get to do two things that bring me much happiness.

One, I get to sing with and for others about my Saviour. My love of music and singing is something I really don’t talk about much. I think that’s because it’s like breathing. It has always been there and is something that I do without thinking.

Number two is sewing. After I get back from singing I have a day of sewing planned. I spend a lot of time cutting and preparing for classes but today I’m putting that aside and actually working on a quilt. I enjoy the entire process of sewing and/or quilting but it’s nice to be able to just sit down in front of my machine and sew. There’s something very peaceful about the movement of the needle and the hum of the machine. The two together create a melody all their own. It sings a song of relaxation and healing to my soul .

I hope that you get to do something that brings you pleasure today. Remember to be kind to the strangers you meet and twice as kind to those you spend the most time with because, many times, we have a tendency to treat strangers better than those we hold close.
