June 26, 2014 early morning

Good morning everyone.  

I know it’s been a while since I posted anything and you’re probably wondering what’s going on at BIZZY HANDZ.

I’ve been bizzy working with my students, holding classes and completing  items for classes or to sell. 

 I  made 2 aprons. One was a special order and the client supplied the most adorable cupcake fabric but I forgot to get a picture of it before delivery.  I will try to get one later since she is a co-worker of mine. I made this apron first to make sure she liked the  fit and the design before I cut into her fabric. There were no changes needed 🙂 and now I have this one for sale.   If anyone is interested I will have it listed on this site under FOR SALE -sewn items, accessories.  The neck line and double pocket have pleated ruffles. The neck is a slip over your neck type and it ties in the back.  The size is “one size fits most”.

I also finished another Block of the Month kit for the Harmon/Eastern class. The 7th block is  a 3d pinwheel block.   We won’t be working on this one until Aug.  but I took the time to get ahead a bit.

I had so much fun putting the above block together that I grabbed some fabric from my scrap stash and put together a scrappy lap quilt sized top. I still have to  quilt  and bind it.  It’s nothing fancy but I got to use some scraps and I think it’s kind of “happy” and “fun” looking.   When I get it completed I’ll post final picture of it.

I also finished this dresden (shown below) but haven’t attached it to a background block yet. I’ll get that done later today and put together the kits for my class. It will be #8 with just one more to go.

Also…………….I have been working on a mountain of  paperwork I needed to turn in to  UNLV. If all goes well I will be teaching a quilting class there starting in the Spring.  That session begins in Jan. 2015.  The paperwork is complete and turned in. As soon as I get the finalized details I will let you know the days, times and actual location of the class.

I’m very excited!
