June 28, 2014 – Two more

I have pictures of two more items I’ve been working on.

A Sunbonnet Sue tote bag.  Cute I guess, but one is enough.  I know people that make whole quilts using  Sunbonnet Sue but honestly, as much as I enjoyed making this tote I can’t imagine making lots of these as blocks.  Maybe it was just me but it seemed to take a very long time completing just the one. Because of that I made the back of the tote different instead of matching the front.  I did use the same fabrics and tried to tie it all together.

(Shown below is the front, the inside and the back)

The quilt top below is the result of making a dresdenfrom this plate block example for one of my quilting classes.

I love being able to make blocks using my stash and this was perfect for that.

So there you have it.  I’ve shared what I’ve been working on now what about YOU.  Were you able to sew or quilt today?  If so I’d love to see pictures.    Have a great rest of the day and

happy quilting
