Comfort and memories

Because I sew, I occasionally have the unique opportunity to make different things, such as quilts, bears, dolls, pillows, etc. using clothing that was worn by a person prior to their death.  It is a great honor when someone trusts me with something so precious and personal.  The following pictures are of a few items I made using a shirt worn by someone that has passed from this earth.  Someone that left behind a wife, daughter and many that loved him.  I pray for them and hope that these simple items help by providing a little comfort to hold on to and a reminder of the sweet memories made while they were all together.

I’d also like to say a very special “thank you” to the person that commissioned me to do this.  What a kind and thoughtful friend you are.  They are blessed to have you in their lives.
