In the Kitchen today

 I’m back in the kitchen today for just a few hours.  A little canning plus bread pudding in the oven to use up some bread before it is uneatable.  I enjoy cooking and I hate wasting food!

Doesn’t look very good right now but when it’s done cooking in the oven I’ll add a topping and it will  look and  taste “yummy”.    

Later I’ll go back to sewing but being in the kitchen is a nice break. I’ve thought about trying to put together a little cookbook with all the recipes that I have from my mom and grandmother.  It’s hard because so many of the recipes are a pinch of this and a little of that to taste with no real measurements which is how I learned to cook.
