The Cost of Handmade

I understand how the cost of a handmade item can seem extremely expensive to those that do not sew, quilt crochet etc… but just consider this: If I work 20 hours a week for 2 weeks (40 hours labor) on a crocheted item then charge you $100 labor (supply and shipping costs being extra) I am only making $2.50 an hour! Please be kind and consider these figures when someone quotes you the purchase price of a handmade item.
